ABOUT ME

CARLOS RAMIREZ-BERNAL

I started my acting career in 1983 when I joined the independent theatre company Nueva Vida in Mexico City, and performed “El Diluvio que Viene” (Aggiungi Un Posto a Tavolaed) followed by “Puss in Boots”. After that, I joined the Theatre school at the National Institute of the Fine Arts, in which I formed part of more than 10 plays. When I concluded my studies, I decided to attend UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Literature and Theatre. From then on, I have participated in more than 35 plays (e.g. “Death of a Salesman” by Arthur Miller and “Talk to me like the rain” by Tennessee Williams among others).

Besides my acting career, I’ve been a singer for more than 20 years with many bands as the lead vocalist; a director for many plays including Greek Classic Theatre and authors like Henryk Ibsen among other works.

I also formed various Theatre Companies, in which I had the opportunity to coach up to 30 cast members.

I’ve been an acting and voice trainer for more than 25 years. During which, I was a drama teacher for private and public high schools in Mexico. I am currently coaching actors that have successfully obtained parts in films in San Diego.
